NEW Knitting and Crochet Circle!
A new group is forming! Join our member Pam at 2 pm onwards to learn or just enjoy for knitting/ craft together! Please bring yarn and needles, or any craft project you’re working on. There will be some needles/hooks and yarn, if you don’t have any. Pam can show you how to do basic knitting and Julia will offer some basic knowledge on crochet. But basically we’ll be sharing and learning from each other!
Sean’s shack is located in Hornsey Town Hall, The Broadway, N8 9JJ ( the refurbished Art Deco Building) Bus W7 stops outside, and 91 and 41 stop near by.
Cinema Club: The Incomer (2026)
Join us for our next Cinema Club screening, a Sundance Award-winning comedy and quirky modern folk tale set on a remote Scottish island. With a brilliant cast, plenty of sharp humour and a story about home, belonging and the clash between tradition and change, it’s a wonderfully entertaining film that’s sure to spark a conversation afterwards. As Rolling Stone says, it features “two of the funniest comic turns we’ve seen in a long time.”!
Please note: you are asked not to bring food and drinks to the venue. Arthouse loves our Circle members, but the venue is also a café and bar!
Summer Evening Stroll, Downhills Park
Join us later in the week for a Summer Evening Stroll through Downhills Park and the surrounding area. As the weather starts to cool and the days gradually become shorter, it’s a lovely opportunity to get out, chat with other members and enjoy the fresh evening air!
Seaside Escape: Coach Trip to Brighton! *
Our next coach trip will be heading to Brighton on 10th Sept! We hope and expect to have space for as many members as possible, and we’ll be in touch shortly with confirmations and full details.

RETURNING Drama workshops*
Our Drama workshops resume this month Haringey Circle, and we are privileged that they will again be led by Collage Arts Artistic director Steve Medlin. Each class will look at text based work and some devising/creating original work, but more importantly will explore how each participant finds their own “voice”.
No experience needed except for an open mind and a willingness to play! Steve Medlin has a career as a performer and director across stage and screen and is a regular drama tutor at some of the UK’s leading drama schools.
Members are asked to commit for the 10 week course, and places will be limited, so register as soon as you can!
End of Summer Daytime Disco! *
