We have another exciting week ahead, packed with opportunities to get creative, stay active, catch a great film, and perhaps get moving during one of our movement sessions! We’re also especially keen to hear from you about our Expressions of Interest, including potential activities in strength & gentle weights, gardening, and flower arranging. Sunday Wellness: Trent Park

Join us for a refreshing group walk through the beautiful surroundings of Trent Park and enjoy a relaxing day in nature with great company. With a choice of two walking paces, the event is suitable for all abilities and offers the chance to explore scenic woodland trails, open meadows, and picturesque paths while taking in the crisp autumn air. Along the way, there’s usually an opportunity to stop for a warming tea or coffee, making it the perfect way to socialise, stay active, and appreciate the season’s colours. Whether you’re coming for the exercise, conversation, or stunning scenery, we’d love to see you there!

Third Creatives Day with Collage Arts!

Join us for our third Circle Creatives Day, led by distinguished teachers, where you can explore a range of inspiring workshops all under one roof. Whether you’re interested in trying your hand at printmaking, drama, dance and movement, or discovering the world of herbs and spices, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Attend for the whole day or drop into individual sessions, meet like-minded people, develop new skills, and express your creativity in a welcoming and supportive environment. Be sure to register in advance for each workshop, as spaces may be limited, individual registrations below!

Returning: Alexander Technique with Tanya!

Alexander Technique with Tanya is back for a third series, offering a new opportunity for anyone who missed this,  and is now curious to try. The Alexander Technique Alexander Technique is a gentle, practical approach that uses a series of guided exercises and awareness practices to support improved posture, reduce muscular tension, and encourage more ease and efficiency in everyday movement.

This time we are in a new venue: Wolves Lane Centre, Wolves Ln, London N22 5JD, (W4 stops outside) with sessions running on Tuesdays from 11:30am–12:30pm on 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th June. Please note that, there is a suggested contribution of £5 per session, payable directly to Tanya. We look forward to welcoming members wanting to learn how to use this fascinating method.

Untold Stories with Baden

Untold Stories, a new activity designed to interest older black men in our community, currently under-represented in Circle Membership. It will build on a cultural tradition of storytelling, sharing each other’s tales of migration and resettlement, of tension and struggle, of music, dance and fun. Led by acclaimed storyteller Baden Prince Jnr. In partnership with the Bernie Grant Arts Centre.

Cinema Club: Disclosure Day (2026)

Join us next week for Cinema Club and experience the latest big-screen event for just £4, from legendary director Steven Spielberg comes a thrilling new original story that asks one unforgettable question: what if we discovered we’re not alone? Starring Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson and Colman Domingo, this suspense-filled blockbuster has already been praised as a reminder of Spielberg’s extraordinary storytelling. Don’t miss your chance to uncover the truth on Disclosure Day.

Tai Chi (last session of the 10-week course!)
In this last session and led by Heron, the sessions offer a gentle and relaxing practice that can support balance, flexibility, posture, stress reduction, and overall wellbeing. As places are limited, we kindly ask that members signing up are able to attend sessions regularly, as consistent attendance helps everyone gain the full benefit of the course and ensures spaces are used fairly.

V&A Highlights Tour with Pam, a Circle member!

Join us for a special member-led highlights tour of the Victoria and Albert Museum, led by Pam of Haringey Circle and an experienced V&A volunteer guide. This is an ideal introduction for a first visit, offering a relaxed 45 minutes to an hour exploring some of the museum’s most iconic “star objects,” with time for questions and discussion throughout. You can join from Wood Green at 1:10pm to journey to Knightsbridge and walk 5-10 mins , otherwise we will meet directly at the main Cromwell Road entrance by the Chihuly chandelier, where the tour will begin with a brief introduction to the museum before moving through key highlights. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to enjoy tea together in the garden, weather permitting. We look forward to welcoming you for this informal and engaging visit.

Expressions of Interest

  • Expressions of Interest: Strength & Gentle Weights Session

We are excited to launch a new guided strength and gentle weights session. This is a great opportunity to get started with light resistance training, focusing on technique, confidence, and gradually building strength in a safe and supportive environment. Sessions would be led by a qualified professional alongside a member of our community, ensuring a welcoming and accessible space for all abilities, whether you are completely new to weights or looking to ease back into training.

  • Gardening

Anyone with an interest in gardening? Like to get to know others who share it – whether to just chat, share tips, or even help each other out occasionally? Let us know!

  • Flower arranging

Some members tell us they’d like to learn more about flower arranging. Should we set up some classes? Tell us what you think!

  • Language Cafés

We’re exploring the idea of hosting language cafés where people can practise languages in a relaxed, social setting. Register your interest if you’d like to improve your language skills or connect with others through conversation. 

  • Morning Drop-In at Oliver Tambo

We’re seeking interest in a regular morning drop-in at Oliver Tambo, offering a friendly space to enjoy a hot drink, chat, and meet members of the community. Let us know if you’d be interested in attending.
