End of Year Walk: Walthamstow Wetlands!
About this event
As we did last year, we’re looking forward to welcoming you on a refreshing and festive walk at Walthamstow Wetlands who will share beautiful views remarkable local fauna along the way. Enjoy the crisp winter air, beautiful views, and the chance to connect with friends old and new as we celebrate the closing of one year and welcome the next.
The walk will begin at 11:30 AM at the Engine House Shop, located next to the café and Walthamstow Wetlands Car Park. Look for the Haringey Circle team and group, who will welcome you before we set off.
This walk will follow our usual route, showcasing the wetlands’ open water, reed beds, and woodland areas. There will be two paces: Striders for those who prefer a brisker walk, and Amblers for a more relaxed pace. It is suitable for all abilities and ideal for anyone looking for a relaxing outdoor activity and connection with nature.
We warmly encourage you to bring a camera or smartphone to capture the beauty of the wetlands. Send us your photos afterwards, they may be featured in our “nature photobook”, celebrating the creativity and perspectives of our members.
