Arthouse have told us they love our members’ visits – so join us next week for The Summer Book (2024), a tender and beautifully observed film about family, grief and the restorative power of nature.
Set on a remote island in the Gulf of Finland, it follows a young girl, her wise grandmother (played by the fantastic Glenn Close) and her grieving father through a transformative summer together. Adapted from Tove Jansson’s beloved novel, this is a quiet, heartfelt story of love, loss and the delicate bonds between generations. Come along and join the Cinema Club screening , for just £4!
