Batik: Continuing
About This Event:
We are continuing Batik session with Cassandra! The word Batik originates from the Javanese word “tik” which mean to dot. An ancient practice of printing fabric with dyes and a wax resist, stemming from Indonesia, across South East Asia, from which she draws inspiration from. We will create some easy simple designs, following a series of processes to produce some fabric art works to take home. All materials are provided and no experience is necessary, venue accessible.
Alert for Batik Members: This week’s Batik session will take place as usual at Collage Arts but, please note that the following week’s session will be held at the Community Hub instead.
